I spent some of the morning making a birthday card for my Partner-in- Craft. Its her birthday tomorrow, which also happens to be craft day, so what a fabulous way to spend her birthday. I made her card using this weeks Mojo-Monday sketch, and I am going to post it early so she will be under strict instructions not to look at my blog til after tomorrow.

Here is this weeks Mojo Monday sketch. I thought as soon as I saw it, it would be a good chance to pull out my Circl Scissor, now available in the Summer Mini and have a play. I was so excited when I saw it was available in the Summer Mini, what a fantastic tool. I havent had that much of a play with it yet but am getting used to the way it works.
Here is my take on the sketch.

What do you think?
I used Mellow Moss, Baja Breeze and Pretty in Pink as my base colours. I did lots of spounging round my edges and crimped one of the layers in the front circle. The butterfly is popped up on dimensionals.
I put a scalloped edge along the bottom Baja Breeze piece and crimped it before I tied the bow around.
Hope you like. I have another card to post today but will get to that later. Have a great day and Happy Crafting.

I made a bit of a different kind of baby card yesterday and thought I would quickly post it on here. Its definetly not a traditional type of card… but here we go anyway….

See what I mean. Its a tad loud and proud hey?… But there is a reason for that. The whole card is designed around the polka dot ribbon (Just released in the Summer Mini) Its for a lady who is heavily into polka dot at the moment, so when the Summer Mini arrived at my door I instantly thought her. I love the sweet treat cups, So mnay uses…. I filled mine with beads, it was the only thing I could find that would suit the card colours. Well hope you like, and hopefully she will like it too.
I went blog hopping earlier and found a whole heap of sketches that look like fun so will get started on them tomorrow. Hopefully I will have something nice to show you in the next couple of days. Happy crafting all have a lovely night/day!

Just a short post as I am off to bed early again, yep becoming a nanna,
big day tomorrow so up early, not that there is such thing as sleep ins at my house. This morning both big kiddies were up by 5:30am……I kept telling them just because its light doesnt mean its morning…but they aint hearing me!
First card I thought I would post is one I made for a challenge over at Our Creative Corner, this time for their sketch challenge. Here is their sketch..

And here is my take on the sketch…

The sketch was leaning towards a Christmassy theme, but to be a bit honest I am over the Christmas card thing at the moment, I think its because I have made all mine and written them ready to go in the post, so I dont need anymore. So I went all birthday for this challenge. And true to form as you may know when I get a new toy I flog it to death, so I crimped yet again….its just so much fun, and I love the depth that it gives to a card.
My colours are Very Vanilla and Pixie Pink. I coloured my cake with my pastels and blender pen.
Next I made a quick card for the Sweet sunday challenge over at The Sweetest Thing. Now I havent done Karen’s Sketch any justice. I think I picked the wrong stamp to make this card, and it all went down hill from there. Here is Karens Sketch

And here is mine….

See very plain and boring, sorry Karen… will try and do your sketch justice tomorrow! I used the new Like-o-Metre out of the Summer Mini catalogue, its very cute. As much as I wanted to colour it in I thought I must leave that for when the card will be in use. Any who…better get off to bed as I said I would. I made a baby card today, something a little different so will post that tomorrow when I get a chance. Happy crafting all and have a fabulous day.

I must be trying to catch up for all those posts I havent done over the last couple of weeks, as I have one more just quickly before I am off to bed….must be getting a little soft in my old age… lol. Or it might just be my little kiddies waking me up at such ungodly hours in the morning thinking its time to get up as its so light out.
I went a-blog-hopping looking for inspiration, I was trying to find a recent challenge to play along with, have you noticed how there are so many that post new challenges at the beginning of a week and not at the end? After a while I did manage to find one at Our Creative Corner...dont know why I didnt go there sooner as I love their Challenges.
Their challenge was to take inspiration from the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas” Hmmm, I was thinking I that I had nothing in my collection of craft supplies that would fit this challenge, then I remembered the bird from the Good Friend set, and the pear paper from the Good Morning Sunshine DSP! Got it….so then I ran with that idea, ran right away from the Christmas theme that the song goes along with, but oh well, cant always get all your eggs in the same basket..
Here is my attempt.
Its something a bit different hey?
Its a little hard to see in the photo but the pear that is next to the sentiment is actually popped up on dimensionals, I cut one out of the scraps of DSP and layered it ontop. My cardstock is Kiwi Kiss and Choc Chip to match the DSP. I stamped the bird in Riding Hood Red and Tangerine Tango – talk about standing out!
Okey-dokey better get off here and ready for bed, little Miss one has already started waking for the night (its just gone 9pm here in WA) so looks like a long night ahead, or a very early morning! Happy crafting all and have a fantastic day where ever you may be!

This morning I was flicking through some of the blogs that I love to visit, and went past Makeesha Byl blog, I havent been past there for a few days so read back through her posts to discover that her and her family are making some major moves in their lives. I dont know Makeesha personally, but know that she is a dear friend of my lovely upline Louise. Her Inspiration Challenge 16 was this
Its any little girls dream bedroom isnt it? Sorry the pic is so small… but have a look at the full size version on Makeesha Blog.
So then I thought I have to make something for this challenge. I received an order in the post on friday with a couple of things I have had my eyes on since I joined Stampin Up six months ago and just never got around to ordering them. One was the Crimper, and the other was the Upsy Daisy set. So I thought that I would use these things to make my attempt at the challenge. Here is what I came up with.
As you can see its a very quick and basic design, the green piece of card is crimped, its a little hard to see. The layered are stuck together with dimensionals to give it some more depth. My colours were, Gabel Green, Pixie Pink and Pretty in Pink.
Hope you like my attempt. Have a lovely day and happy Crafting to you all.

Well Hello….. I am back. Well we have been in our new place for a week now! Whoo Hoo, what a move! You know how as a mum you say that you dont have time to be sick? Well I say it anyway, and aint it the truth. We got the call last thursday morning that the house was ready and we could go in….but during the night ofcorse, I had come down with a nasty bug that has been going around! However nothing stops me when I put my mind to it, so I was up and at them and we started to move, by the end of the day I was exhausted and drained, but we all slept in our new house and was well on the way to moving right in so it was worth it.
I havent done heaps of crafting since we moved, I have made a few little things but they are mostly presents so cant post them just yet! I will once the people have received them.
So I thought I would post a few cards that I made just before the move, I was in need of some thankyou cards so this is what I came up with.

I used the shell from the Natures Nest set from the new Summer Mini, there are some awesome sets in that little mini…
I teamed it up with Tangerine Tango as I just love orange fan shells. ( thats what we call them anyway)

This card has another of the stamps from the Natures Nest set. Isnt it just lovely, I love dragon flies they are just too cute! I also used the grass stamp from the Inspired by Nature set.

For this card I used the sketch from Makeesha Byl site. I used the new butterfly punch and the matching stamp set from the Summer Mini. I teamed it up with Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Perfect Plum ink and card. Its hard to tell but the cards layers are mostly popped up on Dimentionals.
Hope you are all having a lovely day and hopefully I get some routine going on here again!

I have to post to apologise at the lack of new appearences on my blog, especially to those people who signed up for updates in the last few weeks and I have gone from posting everyday to few and far between. We are flat out getting ready to move house which should be on friday (fingers xed) hopefully once we are settled in and the computer is up and running I will get some more routine back into it. Please be patient…

Tonight I made two thankyou cards. Very simple cards and with out intending it they ended up with similar layouts. This was the first one.

For this card I have used a new stamp (the owl) from the set Tall Tales that is in the up and coming Summer Mini, I teamed it up with the Scallop Square punch that is free with orders over $85 from the Holiday Extravaganza until December 14 th.
I used Old Olive, Choc Chip and Ruby Red cardstock. I punched the holes down the side with the handheld 1/16″ punch.
Next was a real quick card.

Another favourite colour scheme, Baja Breeze and Choc Chip.
Well that is the extent of my crafting for today. I am falling so far behind in it trying to get ready to move in a week. Its very exciting we cant wait, but there is so much to do when you move it can be a bit daunting.
Night all and happy crafting.

HHHHIIIIII! I thought tonight I would share with you a couple of sneak peaks from my new best friend, the summer mini! There is only ten days to order products from the current Spring mini, so get to it, dont miss out.
Well I received some preordered products from the Summer Mini on Tuesday so have started having a play to get ready for its release on December 1st, so thought I would share to get you as excited as I am.

So what are you seeing here I hear you ask….Yes its Sweet Treat cups…WHOO HOO. I have been eyeing these things off and thinking please please. All my wishing paid off. I have used the coordinating stamp set Something Sweet. Here is a side on view so you can see the cup…

Too cute hey? I used Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss as my colour combo on this card. Love the In Colours.
Next sneak peak I hear you ask…
Isnt this little guy to die for? He is from the new set Natures Nest. I fell in love when I saw this set and had to have it, and you will to I am sure. I spounged his back with Kiwi Kiss and used Kiwi Kiss card for grass, Baja Breeze for the background which I spounged clouds on with Baja ink, and added a small strip of Pacific Point card on the top. I raised the little tortise up with Dimensionals, here is a close up.

Isnt he great? This stamp showcases what I love about Stampin! Up. Their attention to detail is amazing, every stamp is just the way it should be and you just cant fault it.
One last sneak peak.

This is one of the stamps from the new set Razzle Dazzle. I coloured it using my Stamp’n'write markers. I love the markers and just dont use them enough I think. Its a bit grainy- I was doing it in a rush to come an upload. So hope you are as excited as I am about the Summer Mini. Have an awesome day and Happy Crafting.
